Somewhere to Be is a documentary about New York City’s Greenwich House Senior Center that offers an inexpensive lunch and an invaluable space for the elderly. Seniors share stories and activities in a heartwarming portrait of this extraordinary hub for idiosyncratic New Yorkers. Through observational footage interspersed with interviews, Director Peter Odabashian’s film with Executive Producer Esther Cohen, defies the stigma of age and redefines what it means to have a good life when you find the right community. The film is an official selection of the American Documentary Film Festival 2019, DOC NY 2018, and DUMBO Film Festival 2018. A discussion about the film will follow the showing.
