Nanette joined the JFS team in January 2020. Prior to working for JFS, she launched a private practice addressing the emotional needs of the homebound senior population through activity- centered occupational therapy.
Nanette has a B.S. degree from New York University. Early in her career as an OT, she worked in a variety of clinical settings including pediatrics, and rehab inpatient and outpatient. She has also worked as a Music Together instructor as an early childhood music specialist at the Center for Disability and at Whispering Pines integrated preschool.
Outside of her professional life, Nanette was a co-founder of Mifgash Community High School in Albany, where she also served as chair and a board member for several years. She is active at Congregation Beth Abraham-Jacob and has volunteered for JFS and Community Caregivers.
Nanette enjoys spending time with her husband and four adult children, and likes to sing, dance, play instruments, hike, bike, kayak, ski, garden, and learn new skills. Her varied interests are what sparked her desire to engage the minds of seniors and to use therapeutic tools to promote engagement in meaningful activities.
