Judi joined JFS in 2012. Prior to JFS she enjoyed a 40+ year nursing career, working in various healthcare settings in staff and in supervisory roles, as well as doing medical case management for various companies. She worked for 25+ years as a Licensed Massage Therapist and Independent Health Educator. Judi is a Professionally Certified Kripalu Yoga Instructor offering instruction in yoga, meditation and mindfulness to individuals, businesses, educational and other groups throughout the Capital Area. She served as Teacher Acharya at the Kripalu Center in Albany, NY
Judi received her nursing education at Maria College (A.A.S.) and Russell Sage College (B.S). She trained in Massage Therapy at Suncoast School of Massage in Tampa, Florida, and holds a Professional Certification in Kripalu Yoga instruction from the Kripalu Center, Massachusetts.
Her work extends to volunteering in the Community at the Food Pantry at St. Vincent de Paul, and recently providing stress management training to the staff at Unity House, Troy, NY through her affiliation with the Ignatian Volunteer Corps (IVC). She also serves on the Nursing Advisory Board of Maria College, Albany, NY.
She has two grown sons, 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Her partner and two delightful pugs round out her busy home.
When’s she’s not at the office you might find Judi working on a stitchery or other craft project, tending her herb garden, or engrossed in a good book. And, always, she enjoys her outdoor time walking, and taking in the beauty of nature.
