Part-Time – Afternoons and Evenings

Per Diem Clinicians/Counselors to join our Supervised Visitation and Counseling program team.

Supervised Visitation:

Working with Family Courts in many Capital Region counties, JFS receives court-ordered referrals to provide supervised visits for non-custodial parents to see their children.

This position requires the clinician/counselor to provide a safe, neutral, relaxed atmosphere, monitoring parent/child their interactions with the goal of helping them build or re-build their relationships. The visits take place at JFS in Albany in the afternoon and evenings.

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s in Social Work, Psychology, or related field, and relevant work experience. LMSW or LMHC credential is a plus.

Position may grow commensurate with program need.

Counseling:

JFS provides counseling to people of all ages throughout the Capital Region for a variety of issues, from depression and anxiety to bereavement support to parenting concerns.

Counseling is confidential and may take place at JFS offices or at another location.

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s in Social Work, Psychology, or related field, and relevant work experience. LMSW, LMHC or relevant Master’s or PhD credentialing is preferred.
