On October 28, 2018, nearly 75 people gathered at Congregation Ohav Shalom to honor Jean Becker and David Alan Miller for their commitment to helping and enriching the lives of people in the Capital Region. Each were presented the Anschel Weiss Community Builders Award.
In the wake of the tragedy in Pittsburgh, our Annual Celebration provided the perfect venue to come together as a community to honor goodness. Several Albany dignitaries attended the event for both the celebration and to be stand in solidarity with the Jewish community. Congressman Paul Tonko, Senator Neil Breslin, Assemblymember Patrica Fahy ad form Albany Mayor Gerald Jennings were among the guests.
