Food and Flicks: The Darkest Hour

Save the date for lunch and a movie! NNORC will be having lunch, followed by the movie, The Darkest Hour.

Movie Synopsis: During the early days of World War II, with the fall of France imminent, Britain faces its darkest hour as the threat of invasion looms. The Darkest Hour stars Gary Oldman as Winston Churchill, and is an account of his early days as Prime Minister.  It was nominated for Best Picture and Oldham won the Academy Award for Best Actor.

Lunch will be ordered from Cardona’s. Please choose chicken parmesan or eggplant parmesan. The cost is $13 for members or $15 non-members and includes salad, pasta and dessert. Please make your reservation with NNORC by Tuesday, October 30 at 518-514-2023.

Food and Flicks is on Thursday, November 1 at 12:00 p.m. at Congregation Beth Emeth, 100 Academy Rd, Albany. Lunch is at 12:00 p.m. and the movie will follow.
