Assistive Technologies for your Apple Device

How to see more, hear more and use it more!
Technology can be your friend, especially if you have experienced vision or hearing loss. Join us for a hands-on workshop on Thursday, January 19 from 10:00-11:30 a.m. at the Apple Store at Crossgates Mall (Level 1), where you will find out how to use the assistive features on an iPad and iPhone. You will learn how to improve readability by activating Larger Dynamic Type Magnifierand how the Speak Selection and Speak Screen can read contents of the screen to you. For those who have hearing loss, the iOS 10 offers amazing assistive technologies to help you communicate and enjoy more content like FaceTime, LED Flash Alerts, and vibrating alerts that you can use every day.
Please call NNORC at 514-2023 to sign up. This workshop is limited to 8 people. We recommend signing up early. iPads will be available. If you have an iPad or iPod, be sure to bring it along to make the most out of this interactive workshop.
The Apple Store at Crossgates is located on Level 1. Park and enter near Burlington Coat Factory. If you are interested in attending, but need a ride, NNORC staff will try their best to arrange one for you.
